I have been studying the works of Eliot Coleman for a few months. We are very intrigued by the concept of growing our own vegetables year-round. We have started our own experiment by trying to put in some cool weather crops in early fall to see what we might get before the freeze. About two weeks ago I planted peas, carrots, radishes and some more greens. This week, with the help of my two eldest granddaughters, I planted about 185 cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, and brussel sprout seedlings that I started inside in June. We are still hoping to put in a small hoop house before winter…we’ll see if we have time and energy. We’ll keep you posted.
