This is a bit of a short notice, but if anyone is looking for a reason to take a break from the Pennsylvania winter, this may be it; ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization) is holding Farm Day 2012 on March 17. Throughout the day there are behind-the-scenes tours, demonstrations of farming techniques used around the world, applications of appropriate technologies, children’s activities, creative workshops, and samples of some of the amazing varieties of tropical fruit on ECHO’s farm. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase and there will be activities available for children.
Admission is $5.00 for adults in advance; $7.00 day of the event. There is no charge for children under 10.
