Last night we spent some time on plans for this year. We hope to get chickens this year that will “reproduce themselves”; we hope to get a calf and at least a couple of goats, which means we need to finish the interior of the barn. We are going to keep the gardens the same size as they are now this year and just “maintain” them, since our produce the last couple of years has exceeded our needs. Spiritually I’d like to start a home group up again, but don’t want to bite of more than I can chew…
Paula is reading “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” and seems to be really enjoying it.
Well, it’s been a long time since I posted anything here. The site was actually off line for a while. After the Curry Blake seminar a lot happened, very fast. I’m not making excuses, but I just laid everything down for a while (including, I think, my life.)
The site is back up now, and I’m rethinking this whole thing. I’m going back to the original “vision” I had for this project and see if I can figure out where I’m supposed to be headed.
The home group we were hosting disbanded, I got a new job, and lots of other changes have happened. Updates will probably be sporadic at best until I figure out what we’re doing, but I’m getting “back in the game” at least.
As most of you know, we’ve restarted the Wednesday breakfast at King’s. I’m starting this forum topic to serve, hopefully, as a “bridge” between Wednesdays so we can continue conversations if we want to.
Today we talked about what it means to do the will of God, what it means to move from “milk” to “meat”, and what the purpose, value, and effect of communion is. Tony, Adam, Chris Stoner, Ryan, and Kenton were present.
Just a reminder, breakfast at King’s every Wednesday at 6:00 a.m. for the guys.
This week’s plan is to watch “The Star of Bethlehem” together. December 27 we’ll be resuming the Truth Project.
This week we’ll be taking a break from the Truth Project series. We’ll be having a “family afternoon at the movies” instead, watching “The Nativity Story”.
Channukah started at sundown on Friday this week, so we’ll probably talk a little about that as well.
All the men need to listen to this. If you’re brave, listen to it with your wife.
We’ll be taking Tour 8 of the Truth Project this week. Channukah also starts at sundown on Friday this week.
On December 12 we hosted an open house for some of our friends and church family. Great party!
